According to Anthony Guo, Head of Payment at MEXC Global, the decision was made to simplify and create a "connected user experience."

"By enabling crypto purchases directly through Visa and MasterCard, MEXC Global is providing a faster, simpler, and more connected experience for its users — making it easier for users to convert fiat into crypto assets, which opens up cryptocurrency ownership to millions of people where bank cards are the dominant medium of transaction."

MEXC Global is actively expanding channels for fiat holders to acquire their preferred crypto assets via an easy-to-use and familiar payment method. Despite the proliferation of crypto and blockchain-enabled payment and remittance platforms, Visa, MasterCard, and other traditional payment methods remain popular.

These payment processors' operations have evolved over time. Notably, they have a larger, more extensive global network of partners, primarily financial institutions. Crypto solutions, on the other hand, are still being developed and lagging. MEXC Global is bridging this gap by connecting the crypto and fiat worlds in order to accelerate the adoption of digital assets. This specifically takes into account the massive cost savings associated with digital asset infrastructure.

MEXC Global and its newly formed partners, MasterCard and Visa, are well aware of the stakes. They are now committing to driving cryptocurrency adoption in a win-win situation. While MEXC Global expands its user base and Visa and MasterCard profit from fees, end-users can quickly switch between the fiat and crypto worlds without having to learn or become acquainted with complex systems.

The collaboration comes on the heels of the successful launch of the Global Bank Transfer Program, which allows MEXC Global clients in Europe and the United States to deposit and withdraw funds via the SWIFT and FedWire networks. Users who buy cryptocurrency through the program also avoid paying trading fees.

MEXC Global has also activated P2P trading and launched an OTC payment service. Clients can also use approved third-party portals such as Simplex and Banxa.
