Pineapple Hoisin Hens.

Ingredients:-

  • 1 can crushed pineapple.
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar.
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce.
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce.
  • 1 piece peeled ginger.
  • 2 clove garlic.
  • 1 tsp five spice powder.
  • 2 large cornish hens.

Method:-
MAKES 4 SERVINGS.

  • For marinade, place pineapple with juice, rice vinegar, soya sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic and five spice powder in a blender. Blend on speed until puree.

  • Place hens in large resealable food storage bag, pour marinate in refrigerator at least 2 hours.

  • Preheat oven to 375'f. Line shallow roasting pan with foil. Drain hens, reserve marinade. Place hens skin side up on rack in prepared pan. Roast 40 minutes.

  • Brush hens lightly with some of reserved marinade, discard remaining marinade. Roast 15 minutes or until hens are browned and cooked.

  • Pineapple hoisin hens is ready. Serve with love.
