⚡ Rupee closes at record low of 68.94 against US dollar

The rupee on Thursday closed at a record low of 68.94 against US dollar, breaching its earlier record low (on closing basis) of 68.82, hit on August 28, 2013. Rupee is Asia's worst-performing currency this year, depreciating 7.36% against the dollar. So far this year, foreign investors have sold $742.20 million and $6.14 billion in equity and debt markets, respectively.
