At This Point Microposts May Be The Best Option...

in #microposts23 hours ago

Now that I see many projects on Hive and Blurt shifting more toward microposts, I think it just goes to show that the true value of social networks isn’t in long-winded posts, but in short, attention-driven ones. We’ve long known that images generate more engagement (even if I don’t use them often), but it’s clear that the best approach for Hive, Steem, and Blurt is to emphasize short-form content.

It may not be ideal, given the tradition of long-form or “high-value” posts on these platforms, but it’s clear that times have changed. Developers have left, others have evolved, and the vision for these platforms needs a slight adjustment.

With platforms like Twiggy (Blurt) and InLeo (Hive), they are paving the way for these changing tides. However, regular posts shouldn't be treated any less because they are short-form in content. Twiggy and InLeo tries to push these posts into comments for organizational purposes and as a clever workaround, however, I think it needs more official support.
