Mining: Low End PC (Part 2)
Couple months ago, I posted an article on mining cryptocurrency with a low end PC.
From that time, I've made some changes to it.
First, the GPU, I went with the RX 580 (4gb Variant, XFX) and stuck it in the machine. Couple months ago, Micro Center ran out of GTX 1070s, and the prices for them online were super expensive.
I also received my 1 TB HDD and thermal compound, I applied the compound, and installed the HDD.
I came across many minor issues, for example, taking the old GPU out of the system. Installing Windows 7 was a bit complicated, my HDD was set to SATA, so I went into the BIOS, and set it to RAID, which fixed the issue.
Still deciding which currency to mine, in my last post, I mentioned coins such a ZCash and Litecoin. Although those are very profitable choices, I may add some new currencies to that list.
