The Baikal hardware is difficult (or expensive/above list price) to get ahold of currently. The major increase in popularity and price of Dash caused a sell out of the hardware from manufacturer and they have not provided a time frame for the next production run yet. To answer your question, typical ROI would be less than 6 months.
