AMD mining cards are available for pre-order
AMD mining cards
Sapphire announced that they are making graphics cards specifically for mining. The cards are tweaked for overclocking to get better mining efforts. There were some rumours that the mining cards would only be available for companies who order graphics cards win bulk. But today I discovered that the mining cards from Sapphire are available for pre-order at https://www.overclockers.co.uk/
specifications
The cards have zero or just one display output. The hashrate for each card is given and you can also find the power usage on the webshop. The cards have one year warranty. This doens't make that big of a deal because the ROI for these cards is around 2 months depending on the ethereum price. The memory used in the RX 470 mining cards is Samsung memory, this is not the best memory used for AMD cards but it will do the job.
Nvidia also announced that they are making mining cards based on the GTX 1060. Currently I am not quite sure which card to get. Should I order a AMD card to mine ethereum or just wait for the Nvidia card and mine Zcash? I hope this post was helpful and good luck to all miners.
Hi,
ethereum is now in a phase where mining (with profit) stops because nodes will be sufficient when POS..https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Proof-of-Stake-FAQ,
so the question is: whats the best card for zec & other coins..(lo-power)
check mining profitability calculators also...
(& get amd-stock!!http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/amd) cuzz the world needz democracy!;)
yeah I know but there is no specific date for when Ethereum will switch to proof of stake. With ethereum switching to POS, their will be other Ethash coins to mine so I am not very concerned. Thanks for the reply though!
