I think nowadays altcoin mining become faded. Since mining is not a good solution for scaling up the altcoin. The altcoin is going to change from POW to POs. And there are more and more ICO with fixed amount of tokens. So the future of mining is not so optimistic...
you raise a valid point, yet the current shortage of GPU's tells me a lot of miners still have faith, hopefully there's a few more years of mining to be done. In my opinion POW creates value where POS removes value, but I do have a literal mindset. Thanks for the comment :)
