The footsteps of the Virgin In Prousos, Evritania
My name is Rick Farias.
My wife asked me to visit the footstep of Virgin Mary in Prousos, Evritania. At the time, I was far away on a business trip. Though I thought it was a good idea, it was difficult to just return for the visit. I was thrilled because there are beautiful rivers there, which I love. On our five-hour drive, we stopped under the rock where the footstep is found. We climbed up and prayed, with bees flying around me and our baby daughter with us. Afterwards, we visited the rivers, landscapes, hotel, and so on.
I love rocks, and after three days there, on our way back, I stopped and picked up a random rock that caught my attention by the side of the road. Since I like collecting rocks, I decided to take it with me. I also took a large rock and two smaller ones to use as decorative items in my office. I then returned to my business trip on a Greek island. I didn’t even have time to stop by my Athens office to drop off the rocks and some jars of honey we had.
At the island, I brought the rocks inside my home and considered leaving them there, stacking one on top of the other as decoration. I’ve had a special wish to collect random rocks and crystals since I was young. As I looked at the large rock, I accidentally turned it upside down—and to my surprise, I saw a FOOT shape. The shape looked too perfect to be random; it genuinely formed a foot. I didn’t know what it was at first, so I compared it with a picture I had taken of the original location of Virgin Mary’s footstep. I was frozen—it seemed identical.
I want to share this story and show you the pictures. About twelve years ago, I had a dream in which I was speaking to Virgin Mary in that very home and room where I slept. It was there that I noticed the rock’s shape. The rock has since been brought back to Athens and is now in my hands.
With this story—and given the almost impossible odds—the experience feels like a blessing I want to share with the world. I send my love and prayers to humanity for a peaceful, healthy, and happy life. Amen. I love you Jesus and Mother Mary, Mother of all Mothers, and creators of everything., in your hands I surender for guidance. Now I feel less alone in this world.
