DLive, The First Company Betrayal of Steemians
DLive's biggest fans were all Steemians. By powering down, and also attacking Steemians directly, Kent really turn against his loyal users and did them dirty. He utilized a 2 million SP delegation by Ned to only power it down and then dump on the entire community after "testing" and "developing" for his own blockchain. This hurts many of us who helped Kent by promoting Dlive to Steemians.
It gets worse, they knew they were going to do this in March. Just none of us were smart enough to link Lino and DLive together. It's quite obvious Kent has the majority stake in the Lino blockchain. This is his reason for him attacking the Steem blockchain with a FUD post and even using the bidbots on it as a point to why "Steem is a circlejerk". Yes, bidbots are a problem. But it's not a big of a problem as people think. Bidbot owners are similar to casino owners in the fiat world, and the users similar to gamblers simply addicted to feeling "profit inside the game".
When I asked the Dlive community discord moderation why this was done, They banned me immediately and didn't even defend that this isn't true. So we can be fairly certain, the entire time they were on Steem, Dlive had a master plan to leech from the community. They attempted to suck the life out Steemians, including myself. This is extremely harmful , as @ned from the actions of one bad apple, could stop providing delegations to projects in the future. While I see a lot of good being done over at @dsound. PRC has noted he wants to move on to EOS, making DSOUND primed to be the next "Dapp" (it's not even decentralized like DTube is trying to be) to leave the chain.
Many people I've spoken with think that @ned should consider these statements made by the DAPP owners and remove their delegations unless a new written contract is signed by each DAPP with delegation, with the interests of Steem users and our ecosystem here. Crypto Currency is quite new, maybe they could even put the contract in the blockchain with a Custom JSON so it's there for all to see , for all time. Yes, it is a tricky situation inside our decentralized network, involving business and companies that could have potential billions in market capitalization. By handling this extremely complex issue correctly, it will only make our ecosystem much stronger.
I agree if we are to believe in these platforms we must be aware of the arrangements they have with the STEEM chain and community. I don’t think that this move by DLive accounts for the loyalty of the people, a void will always be filled by the runner up so we will see DTube embraced by those who left and Vimm as the new challenger for live. Even through the troubles DTube has made some interesting moves in the terms of support for its content voters and creators but I don’t see them leaving as much of the development team are STEEM loyalists.

I'm relatively new to steemit and d.tube but to my experience the general consensus, not just in this post but others I have read/viewed is "betrayal" would be a fitting word for the actions of DLive :(
Your post is interesting and you appear technically adept on the subject of crypto currency, blockchain and in particular regarding Steem.
I think following you could prove to be educational for me.
Any where money is involved there will be people trying to get at it in by nefarious means. The dencetralized world is still kinda tiny really. Still early stages. Really what Dlive did is tantamount to shitting were you sleep. It will come back to haunt them.
I was going to bed yesterday when I cought a link in Discord by @r0nd0n to Vimm; at least it looks like we don't have to miss DLive..;-) But yes, this smells like something nasty, what they've done. Thanks for filling in some blanks for me @gray00, as I only witnessed a tiny bit of the panic yesterday.
Unfortunately, when the large majority (seem) to simply be using the platform as a means of extracting profits... games like this don't really surprise me a whole lot.
This does not bode well...

they have done a terrible job mate. Dlive just ruined all the steemitians for their own profit. You are also right about the contract, I agree with you! We, who are against it should have to protest or this type of notorious and evil incident will happen again! Shame on you Dlive! Go to hell!
