I lost my first Mma fight, however I was still encouraged by my performance to continue fighting. I took another fight just three weeks later, I knew I needed to lose some weight for this fight I wasn’t a 170lb fighter. I took my next fight at a catch weight of 165. I had turned 18 just a month prior , and my opponent was 30, it was a little intimidating fighting someone so much older, and larger than me, I walked out to the cage first, he walked out second meaning he was favored to win. We touched gloves he hit me first, I was a little shocked , but not hurt I shook it off and threw some punches of my own and landed a leg kick. I stepped off with a jab after and threw another leg kick which was caught. I got taken down, I swept him almost immediately putting myself in to mount I landed a few punches almost immediately 5F746756-CA77-4A34-A358-C4E1F2CDE544.jpeg
He manage to get his guard back and get back to his feet, the rounded ended shortly after.

The second round started I landed a punch and a body kick, which was caught and I was taken down, i took a few punches on bottom but managed to take his back and land a few punches he flopped on his side to avoid the punches but left his neck open, I sunk in a choke and quickly finished him winning the fight 0C98FD28-4AA7-421E-A2EF-2D4EAF15D2BE.jpeg
I went backstage again, took off my gloves and hand wraps and celebrated with my coaches

I felt good, looking back it’s crazy how young I was fighting such an old man, it felt good, it pushed me to fight again, but that’s another story for another day.

good job congrats and welcome to steem :)

That was a very good job. After the beating in the first fight. That would be enough to give me pause for some thinking.
But, you didn't do that. Kudos for you and your determination.
That is what it takes to be successful for any venture.
And yours is no different.
Thank you

Francis
