We at Monad are excited to confirm that the Monad Layer-1 mainnet will officially launch on November 24 at 9 a.m. ET, marking a major milestone for our project and community. This launch follows the completion of our airdrop claim period earlier this month and represents the culmination of extensive testnet development, ecosystem expansion, and years of engineering innovation.

Backed by $244 million in venture funding and designed to rival leading blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana, Monad introduces a new era of high-performance infrastructure built on parallel execution, superscalar pipelining, and deep EVM compatibility. Our mission has always been to deliver a blockchain capable of both extreme throughput and uncompromising decentralization — and mainnet is the next step toward that vision.

Mainnet Launch & MON Token Generation Event

The mainnet launch will coincide with the Token Generation Event (TGE), during which our native token, MON, will go live on several major trading platforms. Kraken has confirmed a day-one listing through its official X account, with additional exchanges preparing integration.

Airdrop recipients who completed their claims before the November 3 cutoff will automatically receive their MON allocations at launch. Early contributors will also gain immediate access to their tokens as the network transitions from months of public testnet activity into full production.

Ecosystem partners — including Phantom, Backpack, Uniswap, and Wormhole — will support MON from day one. Early projects such as Molandaks and Alloca will launch alongside mainnet, expanding Monad’s presence across DeFi and NFTs.

From Testnet Progress to Full Deployment

Our public testnet, released in February, enabled thousands of developers to deploy dApps, stress-test the chain’s scalability, and validate our approach to parallel execution. The July acquisition of Portal Labs further strengthened the Monad ecosystem, bolstering stablecoin and cross-chain infrastructure in preparation for mainnet readiness.

With full EVM compatibility, developers can deploy smart contracts using familiar tools without rewriting code. Monad targets 10,000+ TPS, sub-second finality, and seamless composability, made possible through parallel execution, superscalar pipelining, and our optimized MonadBFT consensus algorithm, derived from HotStuff.

Additionally, MonadDB — our custom high-performance storage engine — is engineered to support concurrent state updates, enabling the network to maintain low latency and high throughput even under heavy usage.

Airdrop Participation & Community Engagement

Our community-driven airdrop attracted more than 235,500 participants, including active on-chain users, DEX traders, DAO voters, developers, long-term NFT holders (CryptoPunks, Pudgy Penguins, Mad Lads), and contributors across security and education. A snapshot was taken on September 30, and claims ran from October 14 to November 3.

The program followed a stacked allocation model, rewarding activity across multiple categories. Approximately 5,500 top contributors and more than 225,000 broader participants qualified.

Premarket trading on Hyperliquid showed MON hovering around $0.06–$0.07, with daily volumes of $5–6 million and open interest surpassing $7 million.

Investor Support & Industry Outlook

Since 2022, Monad has raised $244 million, including a $225M Series A led by Paradigm with participation from Electric Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Castle Island Ventures, GSR Ventures, and Greenoaks. This strong backing underscores the industry’s confidence in Monad’s ability to deliver scalable, next-generation blockchain infrastructure.

While sentiment across X remains diverse ahead of launch — ranging from cautious speculation to enthusiastic support — the November 24 release is widely recognized as one of the most significant Layer-1 events since Solana’s breakout.

Security, User Protection & MON Storage

As mainnet approaches, we have increased security monitoring and issued public warnings regarding phishing attempts, especially on Telegram. Official communications will always be available through the MONAD official website and verified social channels.

To ensure maximum safety for users, we emphasize that the only secure place to store MON tokens is the official Monad wallet.

The MONAD Wallet provides:

  • verified protection of private keys
  • compatibility with all network upgrades
  • built-in security measures against phishing and fake apps
  • safe interaction with the growing Monad ecosystem

Storing tokens in the Monad wallet is the most reliable way to safeguard assets during and after the mainnet launch.

Looking Ahead

With the MON token distribution finalized and ecosystem partners preparing to deploy, November 24 represents the beginning of Monad’s full entry into the high-speed Layer-1 landscape. The future of the network will be shaped by developer adoption, dApp performance, and continued community engagement — and we are ready to welcome the next wave of growth.
