Mechanic to Marketer (Part 2)

in #money8 years ago

Thanks for joining me again, it's Bryan your average Mechanic/Marketing friend here!... (I know, your thinking this guy is either talented, or confused, right?)

Before I start, if you are wondering why I said 'Welcome Back!' it is because this is Part 2 of my blog/journey, I did this because , A) my internet decided it didn't want to type the same speed as my fingers and B) I thought I would break it up a bit :D  I hope that is ok with you...

If you missed part 1 , here it is... https://steemit.com/money/@bryan.larkin/mechanic-to-marketer-part-1

Anyway, back to the point, talented or confused...?

Well, I would like to say just talented, but who would I be kidding?
I am in fact just a gentleman on a journey strategically  trying out new skills, whether they be taught by someone with authority like a tutor or self taught like many skills in life are using books, the internet, with friends or by yourself. No matter how new skills are acquired, the most important thing is finding the time to start learning them.

Back to the journey,  after I had finished college and in need of employment in the big world,  I searched around to see where I could apply the new founded skills in mechanical engineering. Sorry to say the local employment for this trade wasn't exactly well paid, I didn't really want to be the average 'grease monkey' working 9-5 I wanted that something extra, I weighed up going to Uni to do my HND and degree, sometimes I wish I had but then you shouldn't ever dwell on the past too much if ever. So with no real direction and lack of choice, I made a random but confident decision to pop into my local careers office for the British Army.

From there the rest is a slight blur, it all happened so quickly but before I knew I had done 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and now in my 6th year as a vehicle mechanic in the Army. Unfortunately now and for the past dozen months I have been trying to rehabilitate an ankle injury from running. Recently (2 weeks ago) I had an operation and it is a waiting game to see if that has done anything.

Since I have been Injured, I have been using my love for computers and learning to my advantage, pretty much everyday I watch some sort of new training video, make notes, discuss with like-minded individuals and take action using the skills I've learnt.

Everyday is a school day and along this journey I hope to share with you and help you achieve what you want from the internet, whether it be setting up your own website or learning how to use keywords successfully to rank on Google, I will offer training videos to show you exactly what to do at your own pace in a manageable order. :)

The most important thing with learning is, you must understand. If you don't understand, you haven't learnt. Simple!

I look forward to learning even more on this exciting journey and helping others get to where they want tto be. :)

Knowledge is power , see you in my next post!
