RE: European Commission Threatens Widespread Asset Confiscation

in #money8 years ago

I just heard a report on Free Talk Live tonight that China has plans to restrict Internet access even further, decreeing stringent penalties for those who circumvent government censorship via the Internet.

Although that may be true for average Chinese users, those who run the mega Bitcoin mining operations will either be exempted or the operators will bribe whoever they need to to keep their Internet access open.

It makes me feel uneasy though, knowing how easily the Chinese gubernet could kill Bitcoin if they really wanted to. If you look at the flow of Bitcoins around the world China has the lion's share of traffic right now, motivated by the rising realization that gubernet money is loosing value rapidly.
