I think the point here is... That even economists can't visualize the coming disaster, or they just don't want to scare people...

When it came to the coronavirus quarantine people were running out to buy toilet paper. Can you imagine what people would do if you told them about the economic disaster they are facing.
It all comes down to people are not prepared for what is to come. And, now, it is too late to prepare properly.
