The Eccentric Monkey desperately desired a spade that they would put on his head. It might be a peculiar operation, to most, but not to the Monkey, who had decided that the idea was epic. Bizarrely, a spade being the item selected.

The Eccentric Monkey had a can of Dr Pepper that they would sometimes play with. It would be a surprising idea, to my mum, but not to the Monkey, who felt that the idea was amazing. Who would have thought, a can of Dr Pepper would be the thing that was opted for.
