CONSISTENCY IS THE NEW KEY: EVEN YOUR LITTLE MATTERS
MOTIVATION FOR NEW STEEMIANS
Pendulum Plaza has just been open for operations with its Lease going in full swing. It had a total of ten(10) spaces for annually lease. Many investors came to get themselves spaces but according to the owner's preferences, it only accepted any business in line with clothing. Before a week into leasing, nine(9) boutiques sprang up. A woman went into the caretaker's office to secure the last of the space. She was asked if she wants to open a boutique like the rest 9 and she replied "No". Her own idea was one minimal to others. She was going to start selling detergents! The caretaker was infuriated and had securities flung her out. The boss happened to be passing at this time and stopped to inquire what the problem was. The caretaker who was a stammerer was vexed to the point of being voiceless. The woman spoke up and told the boss she had no money to start a boutique business like the rest, but since detergent was still in mind with clothing, she decided to just invest her little in it. The boss asked her how she would continue affording the rent, and her replies made the boss slash the rent in half just for her. She said > I believe a lot even in the little I do but when believe fails, I would go extra miles to make efforts to keep believing in that little thing still.
When she started her detergent sales, she was an object of ridicule among the other boutique owners. Despite all this, she wasn't fazed! She had an objective and has chosen her perfect niche! Though her, ridicule brought the boutique owners together, sales tore them apart. Each person trying to fight for a customer. This therefore, breed hatred in their hearts towards each other. After they must have fought over a customer, he or she would walk away from them all and walk into the detergent store to get goods. We buy a particular clothe once but buy thousands of detergent to keep that one cloth clean for as long as it is in our possession. So, for one cloth the boutique owners struggle to sell, several detergents were bought for it and even existing ones. Before the end of the year, seven out of the nine boutiques packed up. They couldn't continue. By this time, the detergent woman had acquired two extra spaces from those that left and expanded her little goods. The rest two boutique owners quickly became friends with her so she could refer her customers to their stores. What a big turn of event! Her store kept expanding until she acquired the seven empty stores. I am sure presently, she might be looking at the idea of building a detergent factory and getting skilled hands in helping her. It all started from a small perspective.
T
hat short story is just an illustration of our STEEMIT journey. Some starts big, while others small. Some have quitted while a few persevered. It is only natural for a new steemian to feel lost in the web of the cryptic system on here. I did lose my way, thanks to proper guidance, even still, I am not done finding my roots here.
W
hen every new steemian just join the platform, we all have that Get-Rich-Quick-Syndrome kinda mindset. We think here is a platform where we just post shit and harvest dollars. No! That's not it! It requires a lot more and also offers a lot more than cash. The more we start redefining our purposes on here, the better for us to ascend the top of the steemit ladder and even discover yourself.
T
he mistake most new steemians and even the existing ones have made is trying to be like others. They feel their own ideas or niche on the STEEMIT platform is irrelevant and therefore seek to conform by doing what others do. At the end, they still fail terribly! Not only the contribution of mighty waters makes the ocean, even the single drop of tears is acknowledged for its impact towards making a larger body of water. Only that the tears is distinct, special, different and beautiful. Let me tell you, "EVEN YOUR LITTLE ORIGINAL IS WHAT MAKES STEEMIT!".
I
t is high time we started believing in our little efforts at creating a voice for ourselves. You feel your little is irrelevant? You are touching someone's life somewhere with that if you don't know. You are also a source of inspiration to another person. With consistency, you would be known for that little and you would watch yourself overcoming the inconsistent so called bigger niches. Rome wasn't built in a day but to think the mighty city of Rome started out with just one single building might be unbelievable, yet it is so!

e all cannot travel round the world like @sweetsssj does, neither can we all create killer websites like @jerrybanfield. I bet you don't make amazing gifs than @stellabelle would, neither do you gain half the followers @papa-pepper does. You ain't a crowd puller like @surpassinggoogle, nor much more sought after than @curie and @blocktrades. But you know the most beautiful thing? You can make greater impact by just being @you!
F
irst thing is creating your niche. If you are good at poetry, stay consistent and watch yourself gain followers who loves you for your original poem. If you are good in games, keep doing that. We thank God for the likes of @jodimungkas who curates accurately for every nice game reviews done. If fiction is your calling, please be steadfast in it. STEEMIT doesn't award only those who do superficial stunts but awards even unto the littlest of originality!
C
reating your niche doesn't necessary have to involve theory. Not everyone on this platform is literate. Even illiterates have a lesson to teach. If you farm, be practical about it. Show us a tutorial on how to plant and stuffs relating agriculture, at the end, you end up reaping more even than the literate. If you sing, only a video if your singing is enough. Steemit isn't only made up of theories. Practicals is even core.
Y
ou have found your niche and being consistent but still haven't made anything yet? What is the rush about? Good stuffs don't pass curators by. It is possible yours is being passed by, but sooner, your originality and consistence would sell you out. Don't lose hope yet! Don't be coward like those who quitted. Your little was made for greater purposes. Never you relent! Like the detergent seller, you would turn out to be an asset sooner than you expect to the steemit community.
A
sk yourself, how is my relationship with other steemians? Let me tell you a secret, you get noticed more when you interact with others. We don't know who might help our cause. Even whales still seeks attention. Why else would your 0.01 upvote mean so much to their wallet? The truth is, we all need each other. Interact more and see how quickly you would build social relationships, gain followers and ascend the steemit ladder quickly. Find you an experience steemian friend today. I could recommend you a few If you haven't found one yet.
I
n conclusion, all this things remain incomplete without the input of BELIEVE! For others to believe in you, you have to believe in your self. People support one who supports himself. Make moves and see success hit you like rainfall. Even when things seems lopsided presently, don't be shaken. It doesn't matter who might be laughing secretly at you for doing the little you can, what matters is strutting successful after your little has spoken for you! Believe!
I only hope I have been able to influence you positively! Keep steeming successfully!
Love from @aderonkemi
