MOTIVATION IS NOT REAL. IT'S NOTHING BUT A BURNING MATCHSTICK

I'm so excited it's 2018 already so let me be the first person to wish you a wonderful New Year on steemit. I'm sure you have so many plans for 2018; so many goals. There are things you wish to start and there are some others you wish to stop. So let me give you a piece of advice that you will thank me for by the end of this year. Motivation is not real. It's nothing but a burning matchstick

Have you ever wonder why there are so many motivation speakers whose life don't come close to what they preach?

Those who share with you 10 principles to become rich but can't afford a nice meal a day.

OR

Those who share the keys to a happy life but later die of depression.

OR

Those who teach about how to have a happy marriage and healthy home but divorce their own spouse after 1 year of marriage.

The simple reason is that motivation is not real. It's nothing but a matchstick.
Have you ever wonder how long a matchstick can burn? Not forever, right? That's the same thing with motivation. You heard so many of them in 2017 and you have, I'm sure. Maybe from that your pastor or from that business seminar.

You were challenged to start exercising daily to have a great body. You were challenged to start that million dollar business. But what happens after few days? The drive is no longer there. You no longer have the zeal to do what you were once motivated to do. It is because motivation is not real. It's nothing but a burning matchstick.

What more can a matchstick do?

Although I've said it severally I won't mind repeating this, motivation is not real. It's nothing but a burning matchstick. If motivation is just like a matchstick then do you know what more a matchstick can do?
A single matchstick can burn down a whole forest. Yes. A single matchstick is just enough to set a whole building aflame. A single matchstick is what is needed to start a fire.

So if your motivation is just like a matchstick then there is definitely more to it than what those so-called motivational speakers out there told you.

They never told you that it doesn't last forever so you must put it to use immediately. Your motivation to start that million dollar business is not enough, the will to start is the most important. You must learn to do. You must learn to swing to action. You must learn to practice whatever you've learned and also do it immediately.

Now that you know that motivation is not real, I'll advise you use the little spark that this post has ignited in you to make a burning forest instead.

Those dreams that you have last but didn't accomplish is not gone. You still have the opportunity to set them on fire Now. Each second count. Don't waste more time. Start this New Year well and I wish you all the best.

This is from @mr-aaron, and I want to see you become the best you can be.

Good motivational words.
In addition to you post.

The worst thing that can happen to you is not death but to loose hope while you live.
Things do go wrong but wrong things can be made right if you don't give up your dreams or goals.

Thanks bro, @yinkakln, for those wonderful words. As long as there is life we can be whatever we want to be, we just need that tiny spark of hope to ignite us. Have a wonderful 2018
