I do agree that a small gift is better than a big promises. For my point of view its better to surprise your loved ones for the gift rather than promising them and failed at the end. A simple gift will become more special and memorable when you give it with surprise that is he/she never expected it.

Giving gift in a surprise manner will somehow raise its value and becomes more sweeter to remember. The tendency of human being can easily remember things that were very special to them. The surprise gift today will be the sweet memory in the future.

Better give your gift in a surprise way rather than promise everything and failed.
