...that moment when you're effing broke, with no hope of something rolling into your wallet. You stroll into the kitchen and realize you can't actually make anything to eat cos your cooking gas got exhausted.
Pheeew!

You put some calls across to some friends and even acquaintances to see if any of them can lend you some cash but they all tell you how hard the economy is, and how they're even looking for where to borrow from.

You flip your laptop open to create one or two worthwhile things but the rumblings in your stomach wouldn't let you do anything meaningful.

As if that wasn't enough, you get a call from a sibling fervently begging you for a little amount of money that, on a normal day, you could have easily disbursed. He wouldn't have called you to ask for money cos he knows you need it more than him, but now he's at the end of his tether. Him calling you at this point tells you one thing - he's very desperate!

You sit down on the bare floor, dejected, weak and angry. You remember the posts you've seen on Facebook of your colleagues wearing blings, looking all good and comfortable and you wonder why your case is different...

You're not alone!

There are millions of people who are in the same situation. What differentiates you from the rest of them is how you react to the circumstance.

Forget what you see on social media, half of them ain't true, the other half is totally fake!

Everyone tries to cover up their woes by making it look like they're better than you, but in truth, they might be worse off than you are.

You need to stop judging your situation with that of others. You need to realize that you are not in competition with anyone except yourself. Strive to be better than you were yesterday, even if you're not richer. It takes time.

If there's anything I've learnt in life, it's the fact that life is a total Flux. It's ever changing and an empty account Balance today can be reading millions tomorrow!

It's all about belief and taking positive action. Never underestimate that little skill of yours. Never let the opportunity of learning new things pass you.

Make use of the internet. Virtually anything you want to learn, you can, with your smartphone and an internet connection. If you have a laptop, then that's an added advantage!

So go on! Add value to your life. With value comes development. The more you develop, the more your worth increases, and the more you're worth, the more you're paid. Simple.

So get up, dust off your buttocks and do something valuable today, it's never too late to begin.
