Motivation: What Eating Right Has Done For Me
I don't like the term "dieting." I prefer looking at my eating habits as eating normal, not junk food and all that other crap. Sometimes a cheat day is alright, but they are so far and few between for me these days. But back to the topic, eating right has done a lot for me. Here are four things I've gained from changing up my eating habits these last few years.
Clear Mind
My ability to think more clearing is insane when compared to years ago when I ate like shit, all the time. I was hitting sodas hard, pizzas regularly and fast food was amazing to me. However, my mind always felt cloudy and I was in denial that it could have been due to my eating habits. Fast-forward, I have more clarity and focused than ever before.
Energy
I rarely get mental fatigue and I have more physical energy too. I simply feel far better, thanks in part to my eating habits. We all know the benefits of eating healthy, but it can take time to feel and see the results. It took awhile, but these days I enjoy an abundance of energy.
Weight Control
I don't try to control my weight. I love exercising and hitting the gym. I should say that eating healthy has allowed me to reach my fitness goals and continue to enjoy reaching my goals, regardless of what they are at any given time. Results tend to come fast for me these days. When I was eating like shit, I felt sluggish and found it extremely difficult to control my weight. Those days are gone though.
Self-Control
Gaining control over my eating habits have helped me gain increased self-control and disciplined. I actually didn't think this would be one of the benefits I'd end up reaping , but it is.
In short, ever since I switched to eating better (years ago), I've reaped benefits like:
. Clear Mind
. Weight Control
. Energy Levels
. Self-Control
Challenge yourself to get your eating habits in check. It's hard as hell at first but it is worth it in the long run. Trust me, I feel so much better eating the way I do.
P.S., just think of the basics; fruits, oats, seeds, nuts, veggies and what not. That is what I pretty much eat. Good luck if you give this whole eating right thing a try.
