Gajser has had a pretty rough start to his 2018 MXGP Campaign as he crashed out of the final round of the Internazionali D'Italia series in February. This saw him pick up a fractured jaw and forced him to sit out for the start of the FIM MXGP World Championship. You can check out what happened in my post here and here but gajser was pushing hard trying to catch Cairoli and was riding a great race when he missjudged a jump and he was knocked unconcous.

It has just been announced though by Honda HRC that he will be fit and ready to line up in Valkenswaard. It is unclear how much time he has had back on the bike but in his initial statement it seemed he would only have a couple of days to prepare at the very most.

I can understand his desire to return to racing as quickly as possible as he is only forty seven points down currently from the current leaders Jeffrey Herlings and Antonio Cairoli and a quick return leaves his title hopes alive. Sure it is not the start to the season he would have wanted but it's a long way from the final round and everyone has the finish to stay in contention.

Honda HRC are also having a good week on news as it seems Brian Bogers also set back to riding for the first time since November today! Unlike Gasjer though there is not currently a time frame set on his full return to racing and he has spent a long time off the bike to this point. It seems he will spend the remainder of the month in testing with the team and they will evaluate his progress at the end of the month.
