Your shots are all fantastic as per usual. I like the tracks for a good foreground. Coquihalla Summit looks very deadly. I wonder if people try to climb it.

I used to work for a place in the states that did whale watching. If the whales come to you it is fair game. You just cannot run up on them. Maybe Canada is the same.

Thanks a lot for posting, Sharon. Glad you liked the photos. I imagine you're right about the whales - if they surface right beside the boats, what can you do? The only thing is, those boats have sonar, I'd think they have a pretty good idea where the whales are.

They do, but those whales can appear out of nowhere. And plus the boats are trying to get as close as they can.

We had grays where I was and they would scratch themselves on the hulls sometimes. Very exciting, and the Captain would have no time or ability to get out of the way. They have to cut the engine when this happens.
