I honestly don't know. We had about a spoonful here last night which is about normal :-) Not sure what's up in the mountains. I tried to google it, but couldn't get a straight answer.
Check this out... golfers in Vancouver, Washington in 2017. The fire was across the Columbia in Oregon... not quite as close as it looks. True golfers will play through anything!
Yes, that's true. A forest fire does not smell like woodsmoke from your fireplace. That fire near Portland was a bad one, and it was deliberately set by teenagers with fireworks. A lot of these fires are set by people, usually by accident and now and then on purpose. It's bad enough when we have lightning strikes causing fires - that can't be helped.
Well I've never been near a forest fire so I haven't smelled one and hopefully I won't ever smell one. Is Victoria surrounded by forests? California had a horrible year for fires!

See that red area? That's where you get forest fires.. It was bad in the east last year as well @janton.
oh. then that map looks serious. dang. that's a huge red area too isn't it? Maybe it would turn out to be that accurate.
