I thought the movie was just ok and agree with most of your criticisms. Particularly about character motivation. This feels like perhaps they are trying to make three movies out of two movies worth of story. Reminds me a bit of The Hobbit that way (only there they made three movies out of a one movie story).

    I agree. I had a very similar problem with the Hobbit. I watched it once. That was plenty for me.
