My movie review for "The Strangers : Prey at night "

We've been waiting of this movie. This was suppose to be release on March 9th here in the Philippines, but it was move to April 11th. And yes we were really excited.

The movie was approve with no cutting of very suspense scenes. The movie also uses some old and popular love songs as back ground music during the killing. I think this is not related to "The Strangers (2008)" , not really.

The movie is about a family of four who sent their troubled daughter to boarding school. They stop by to visit a family, while waiting they stayed in a quiet trailer. The place was quite as they thought, but it isn't. They were being terrorized by three masked people who killed for no reasons, it's like they are enjoying doing it.

The family also discover two dead bodies in of of the trailer park, they were curious if who would have done something like that. The family split to look for help. The mother and the daughter return to the trailer to call 911, but they were shocked when they saw that all their phones were broke. And to their surprise , one of the masked person was already inside the house. They tried to escape. But when the mother get a chance for them, She let her daughter escape first, there she was stab. It was really a tragic moment for the daughter.

While the father and son go back in the trailer where they found the dead bodies, they were followed by another member of masked person. Luckily, they found a gun. They decided to go back to the trailer to see if his wife and daughter is okay, but sad to say they found his wife dead and his daughter is not there. So they drove and look for his daughter. They didn't notice the truck drive by the masked man hit their car. The son wake up and he tried to wake his dad with a a piece of wood struck his stomach. The father told his son to go and look for his sister, but he said he can't leave him. When his son leave, the masked man killed the father using an ice pick pointing on his neck, blood is coming out in his mouth.

The daughter is running everywhere the place and looking for a place to hide, she was followed by this truck. When she got the chance , she go into a trailer park , without thinking that the girl masked is there . And there she was stabbed in her legs and shoulder. She almost died out there , thanks God his brother came and was pointing his gun the killer, and they were able to escape by jumping in the window.

They run and run looking for some safe place, and they did. She told her sister to hide and stay quiet while he's looking for help. His sister was really scared. He was able to go back to a store where he use a telephone to call for 911, but the line disconnected, another masked girl was there, attacking him. What a jump scare! He was able to run until he reached the pool area. The scene was there was amazing, when the girl in masked attacked the boy he was able to strike her with a golf stick and even stab her. The scene did not end their, the man in mask holding an axe , is approaching him as well. They were fighting in the water and that scene was the best, he was drowning and hurt the water is cover with blood, I thought the guy will die but he was rescued by his sister and escaped.

The girl left his brother in a safe place and went outside to look for help. A policeman came and asking her what happened. While talking, they didn't notice that a girl in mask is approaching and attack the sheriff with a knife in his neck. She quickly bump into the car but the key was not there, the girl in mask is holding it like tempting her to get it. She saw a shot gun and there she shot the killer and she was able to take the mask of that girl , she asks" Why are you doing this? " , and answered ," why not? " .

She thought it was over but the last guy in mask is approaching and will crash into her car but she was able to get out and when she saw that gasoline is leaking , she throw a lighter and burn the cars. But wait it , the killer is still alive and was walking to her direction. To her surprise, a woman and a boy riding in a car came, and she asks them to stop to help her, but the woman refuse when she saw the killer holding an axe is near and going to attack, they quickly ride into the car and so the girl and she was able to beat the killer using a baseball bat.

Yes, she and his brother is alive. His brother is confine while she is kept on having nightmares. She was so scared again hearing someone is knocking in the door.

I don't like the ending. I thought all of them will be dead, like in the Stranger (2008) everybody was dead.
