Poetic Film Review: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)

In a world of video games and silver screen,
Where adaptations often fail to gleam,
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, a tale of old,
Brought to life with action bold.

Angelina Jolie as the iconic Lara,
Chasing artifacts near and far,
With CGI and rapid cuts galore,
The film left some wanting more.

Despite the flaws and lack of depth,
Jolie's star power kept its breath,
A hit at the box office, it did soar,
But critical acclaim, it did not restore.

Chris Barrie and Daniel Craig,
Added moments that weren't vague,
But overall, the film fell short,
Leaving audiences with mixed report.

A reboot came years later,
With Alicia Vikander as the new crusader,
But the magic of the original remained,
In the hearts of those who were entertained.
