Poetic Film Review: Pay It Forward (2000)
In a world where kindness is scarce,
A young boy's idea takes center stage.
"Pay it forward," he declares,
Spreading love and breaking the cage.
Trevor's heart is pure and true,
His mission to make the world better.
But obstacles come into view,
Testing his resolve to the letter.
With Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt,
The message of altruism shines.
But critics see it as a stunt,
Aiming for Oscar glory lines.
Mimi Leder's direction falters,
As sentimentality takes the lead.
Leaving audiences somber,
With an ending that fails to feed.
Despite the flaws that may befall,
The essence of kindness prevails.
For in a world that's dark and small,
Acts of love never fail.
