Poetic Film Review: Scary Movie (2000)

In the age of parody films galore,
Where creativity seemed to be no more,
Scary Movie came to the screen,
A spoof of horror, sometimes obscene.

With Anna Faris leading the way,
Her comedic talent on full display,
But even she couldn't save the day,
From the jokes that fell flat in every way.

From Scream to The Matrix, no film was safe,
As the gags turned vulgar, in poor taste,
Keenen Ivory Wayans at the helm,
But the laughs were sparse, the humor overwhelmed.

Though successful at the box office, it's true,
Scary Movie's legacy is far from new,
A reminder of Hollywood's creative drought,
A parody of parodies, without a doubt.

So if you're a fan of horror and satire,
Watch with caution, don't raise the bar higher,
For Scary Movie may not be your cup of tea,
But for some, it's a guilty pleasure, you'll see.
