Poetic Film Review: Whatever It Takes (2000)
In Hollywood's realm of teen comedies bright,
A classic play inspires a modern sight,
Whatever It Takes brings love and schemes,
But falls short of fulfilling its dreams.
Ryan, the geek, longs for a beauty so fair,
With Chris's help, he weaves a deceptive affair,
But as the charade unfolds its disguise,
True feelings emerge, love in disguise.
Casting choices and cliches abound,
Leaving the audience unsatisfied and bound,
With characters lacking depth and grace,
Whatever It Takes falls from grace.
A film of mediocrity, lacking in art,
Failing to capture the essence of heart,
But amidst the flaws, a brief moment shines,
A funky beat in accordion lines.
So heed this warning, before you commit,
To a film that falls short, lacking wit,
For Whatever It Takes may not deliver,
The cinematic joy you seek to uncover.
