The shot list and storyboard for my psychological thriller "The Crane" is finished and we decided on the gear we're going to use to film the short film so now I'm going to start organizing the casting and other things while writing the alien abduction short film. Watch the video for more!
My name is Einar, I'm a filmmaker and actor from Estonia and I got this idea to make a found-footage horror film about a guy who starts a Steemit blog and accidentally documents himself getting abducted by aliens. Well, in the middle of making these production vlogs, I got inspired to write another short film so now I'm documenting the production of both of them and all future films I make. This will be a great adventure and you can support the making of these movies by just upvoting and resteeming the blogs! Yo Einar, it's the rolling shutter. Jello effect. There is not much to do with it, you can however remove the jello effect almost completely in Premiere if you only move it one direction, ie. only pan or only tilt. Remember we played around with it in Saaremaa with my A6300?
The thing is that the bigger sensor you got and if it's 4K then the cameras lack hardware capabilities to keep up with fast movements. GH5 has a smaller sensor and that helps.
An other thing you can do is film in 1080P on your A7sII, then there is virtually no jello effect. :)
