The Verdict?

Modern TV isn't "bad"—in fact, the writing can be incredible! But there’s a massive difference between a show that tells a complex story and a show that captures our imagination through pure, simple adventure. Maybe the secret sauce is finding that perfect middle ground: a story that matters, but still lets us have a little fun along the way.
