"Amy" And The Open Air "Kino Am Dach" in Vienna - Perfect Location To Watch A Quality Movie After Sunset
Vienna and the offer of so many cultural events amazes me more every day. The perfect summer in the city with open bars and cafes on the rooftop, where you can sip on your cocktails before the movie in this stunning open air cinema starts.
We went to see the touching and sad but very well done Amy Winehouse story this time!
Let me share this awesome venue called "Kino am Dach, the cinema on the rooftop where I watched Amy Winehouse's life story and this even in english. Can you imagine Amy speaking in German :) Since I heard Al Pacino in his weird german accent, I gave up watching movies in my language. I am thankful to catch those originals in my hometown.

"AMY" was well worth it!
Amy Winehouse
Much can be said about the late Amy Winehouse, one of the U.K.'s flagship vocalists during the 200s. The British press and tabloids seemed to focus on her rowdy behavior, heavy consumption of alcohol, and tragic end, but fans and critics alike embraced her rugged charm, brash sense of humor, and distinctively soulful and jazzy vocals. Her platinum-selling breakthrough album, Frank (2003), elicited comparisons ranging from Billie Holiday and SarahVaughan to Macy Gray and Lauryn Hill. Interestingly enough, despite her strong accent and vernacular, one can often hear aspects of each of those singers' vocal repertoires in Winehouse's own voice. Nonetheless, her allure had always been her songwriting -- almost always deeply personal but best known for its profanity and brutal candor.
Its sad to see such a young , super talented, wounded girl loosing her life that early. It seems that she was a reincarnation of Billy Holiday. Her voice and charisma were destined to leave our world so fast, like many great ones before her.
Alcohol and drugs destroyed many lives but in her case I think that her father was the cause of real damage to her wounded heart she couldn't heal in-time. She was beautiful! RIP!
I wish we could have heard those albums she wished to produce.
I always loved Jazz and she was one of the greatest! I was not familiar with all her songs, especially didn't know that she wrote them all herself.
My all time favourite song
I have highest respect for her skills and will buy all albums today on iTunes to listen through more carefully.

Danke ❤️❤️❤️
You are always welcome
How Cool a Location for movie night!
qsounds material :)
Indeed !
Wow ! thank You ! What a wonder venue for late night movies, I am sooo envious !!! I REALLY love this music ... (Stronger than me) not all of us are like that guy, what a great song. So tragic, so sad ... RIP !!! and hell yes, the music she would have made .../sad ! Kind of reminds me of Janis Joplin ... and Billi Holiday ... so many lost to addictions ... Thank you so much for this Hon ! /hugs and /slow dances with you all night , listening to Amy Winehouse !!! Wow, what a women !
Book Marked for all these great songs ! ty again .. /bow

Watching movies in original language has two benefits. One is you learn the language. The second one is that voice acting gives to the movie as much as visual acting. You can have both for the full experience while having the benefits of Education :-)
That's right! I speak mostly English Last 30 years. I lived in New York and Bali, it's hard for me to get used to German in movies. Just can't do it.
I lived in Bali for four month too :) Where were you staying? :)
Oh ! So you know the crazy little island 🌴. First when I arrived I was in Seminyak, then moved to Banjar Semer for over 7 years, close to Umalas stables and latest until last September, 5 minutes from Mertasari Beach in Sanur. I never chose to live in Ubud because my daughter finished school in Sanur.
After living a few years in SEA, I miss places like that a lot! Now I am thinking about opening something an open air cinema in Phuket:) Have an adventurous weekend!!:)
