Maze Runner: The Death Cure - Review "My ignorance is not so disturbing, because the movie is a busy movie itself"
I like it from The Maze Runner is the title of the franchisee that is consistent with the content of the film: "Labyrinth Runner". It's already a third movie, and the filmmaker can always condition his characters-the labyrinth-tested graduates, if you remember-run for a variety of reasons. In the first film, they ran from labyrinth monsters. In the second movie they run from zombies. In the third movie they are still running, whether pursued or pursued, of various things, including the two earlier.
That is why, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) et al fought hard to save their friend Minho (Ki Hong Lee) who was held captive by the wicked WCKD organization after being betrayed by former Thomas spy, Teresa (Rich Scodelario). No matter what the risk and any life that will float, Thomas has made up his mind: Minho should not be abandoned.
Why Minho only? This sounds like an odd determination, especially considering that there are many lives that should also be rescued from the abominable trials by WCKD. When saving a car full of teenagers, Thomas seems somewhat disappointed. No Minho because of it. All new makes sense after I make one hypothesis. Perhaps Thomas actually likes Minho? Well, that's it. I have never seen a man so desperate to save a bro on top of anything more important. Which is up to them anyway, I do not want to judge. But it could be so right? Is not it? Yeah ga anyway?
To watch Maze Runner: The Death Cure, it looks like we should remember the two previous films. This movie will not explain, and in some parts I am quite confused. Maybe if watching the movie again, would understand this movie. Maybe yes. Because my friends who have been watching too sometimes still do not understand how or why they do something. However, if we hold on to the basics just like how the film is adaptation of the young-adult novel, play like a mix between The Hunger Games and (if hopefully still remember) Divergent, as well as the standard premise that special teenagers fight tyrants, we are safe.
My ignorance is not so disturbing, because the movie is a busy movie itself. Something always happens. More often than not, action takes place only for the purpose of action. Have style but often without purpose. The action sequences, which are virtually sensational for the size of the young-adult movie, leave no room for us to protest if the plot is okay. In the review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, I hope all mysteries will be missed in this last movie. Hmm. I'm sure, a lot of clumsiness will make you will have new questions later.
In order to save Minho, Thomas et al had to break into the Last City, the city that became the ultimate defense WCKD. This mission is practically impossible because the city is surrounded by high walls and heavy artillery. However, no tyrants did not create rebels. So lucky, there are members of the rebel army who are willing to help them in. Incidentally they also know.
You certainly still remember that Thomas et al is a teenager immune to a mysterious virus that makes the majority of humans become zombies. The goal of WCKD is to make vaccines from the DNA of immunized adolescents. For the WCKD team, saving the world is very important even if it costs some people; that's why Teresa betrayed her. For Thomas's team, the lives of friends are more valuable, yap, despite sacrificing humanity. There's nothing to argue about here; the koflik is simple. The film is on Thomas's team, although the logic of some people's life is not comparable to all mankind. Hmm, I'm definitely welcome in the WCKD team.
The film is still directed by Wes Ball, and just like the second movie, for the affairs of the action he did not disappoint. There are many exciting set-pieces. The opening scene is a train hijack involving two jeep cars and (later) one helicopter. There is also an absurd bus rescue sequence filled with passengers using a crane. And the explosion. Lots of explosions. As if intended specifically to make us sincere about the context that is not clear. When the story slows down and we start to intend to open the phone, there are action scenes that make the eyes fresh again.
I have to say that of the three Maze Runner movies, this one is the best thing about cultivating. Tata production is steady, although the budget is limited. About the story, he is sort of something that is made up secretly to close the story. He was not interested in answering the mystery. Opportunity to present real conflicts with social criticism, unleashed when it has been flicked. I do not think we will remember much from the duration of two and a half hours. However, this franchise is worthy of credit, because the last movie fortunately not divided in two. The Death Cure has closed the series as best he can. Maybe.
