Latest Trailer 'The Grinch'
For some, the Grinch is a green creature who steals Christmas in the How the Grinch Stole Christmas classic ! by Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel or in a short animated movie titled the same that was released in 1966. But most of us may recall it as Jim Carrey who wore a creepy green costume. No, not that one , but this one .
Well, now the Illumination studio-which already gives us Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets , and a movie adaptation of Dr. Seuss, The Lorax - ready to bring it back to animated format. Newest trailer has been released and you can see it below.
The story, of course, is about the Grinch who meant to "steal" Christmas. But there is one thing that is beyond the calculation of the thief. You can find it through the following official synopsis:
The Grinch designed a plan with his trust dog, Max to spoil Christmas when Whoville residents plan their annual holiday celebrations. Meanwhile, Cindy Lou Who plans to find Santa Claus to thank him for helping her mother every Christmas, something that will interfere with Grinch's plans.
As it appears in the trailer, Grinch is a malicious (?) Person (?). It's hard to see other people happy and happy to see other people difficult. His hobby is fun. And when the people in Whoville village want to make a big celebration, he can not just sit there. Unfortunately, the plan is not exactly a genius. Because it's worked by Illumination, of course this stupidity will lead to slapstick jokes. So, presumably this film will not get the status seklasik animated film jadulnya a spectacular show of Christmas in America there.
By the way, this version of the Grinch universe turns out to be up-to-date; we see the Grinch utilizing the drones to monitor his target. This movie also seems to be exploring the past Grinch, because in one moment, seen his childhood is less happy in the orphanage.
The Grinch character is voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch , while for the moment we have not been told who will play Cindy-Lou Who. The Secret Life of Pets director Yarrow Cheney collaborated with Scott Mosier to direct the film.
