Working of venturi Meter

A venturi meter of known coefficent is installed in the pipeline and thee pressure tapes ate conected to a pressurer measuring device

Air pockets if any are removed frome coneecting tubinges , messuring device etc. After starting the flow of fluid throug the pipeline in which it is installed for flow measurement

In this meter the fluid is accelerted in the conversion ssection and then retarded in the divergent section and increas the flow velocity at the throat result in a decreas in the pressure at the throat
