Review Song Ed Sheeran feat Eminen - RIVER

It seems that Eminem fans will be grateful to talented musicians, Ed Sheeran. He is indeed a reliable musician who knows how to know how to satisfy the music lovers' ears. Sheeran accepted Eminem's proposal for a duet on the last song of the Revival album

At the end of 2017, Marshal Bruce Mathers III a.k.a EMINEM released the final song from Revival's album "River". The song is sung in duet with Ed Sheeran. Who would have thought EMINEM could be a duet with Ed Sheeran, or how could it have crossed Eminem thinking of Ed Sheeran's figure to duet with her. The rap style of EMINEM in "River" sounds very much like the song "Love the Way You Lie" with a slightly different style. Sheeran sings the chorus as the beginning of the song before the Eminem section. After that Eminem brushed out verse 1 with his characteristic rap style.

Verse two is also made with little dynamics. Early verse 2 opens with a slightly high tone. The beginning of verse 2 makes me think of the song "Just Lose It". Then in the middle of Eminem rap with a flat tone and then make climax verse 2 with an increasingly fast rap and high tone. The chorus section after verse 2 was arranged nicely by Sheeran. He adds a part for him and Eminem to sing in return (not rap) ie My names oh My names, Denver oh River run. Call me oh Call me .. River oh we let the river run.

The reason I say "River" is made different from "Love the Way You Lie" is that Eminem only does rap up to the song's climax. On "River", Sheeran adds an anti-climax section to rap Eminem in verse 3 and verse 4. I think this is something genius. So he made Eminem's rap more dynamic. At the end of the song one thinks Eminem will paint the hard and rough rap as always, but it's arranged differently. He closed the song by slowing down Eminem's rap temp, lowering rap tone, and closing with chorus.

In my opinion, if many criticize this song because of the temporary Emperem rap style, overstuffed (solid, thick, fast) which when coupled with Ed Sheera seems very lame because Sheeran is synonymous with soft love song. However, keep in mind that this is an Eminem album. As a producer on his own album, Eminem has the right to decide what song is sung.

Song Meaning

This song tells of a man who fell into sin for wanting to help a woman (Suzane) betrayed her husband, Jack. You need to find out what the word Jack means in the western idiom. Instead of helping Suzane, the man actually intercourse and hamillah the woman. The man feels very sinful and needs holy water to be purified. This means that in the teachings of his religion (Christian), the man must go to the river to be baptized / purified in the river because of the sin that he did. But he hesitated because he did not make a confession. Finally he kept the pain and let the river flow. Maybe one day he went there.
