The Art of Turntablism
Turntablism is the art of manipulating sounds and creating new music, sound effects, mixes and other creative sounds and beats, typically by using two or more turntables and a cross fader-equipped DJ mixer.
Here's a small clip from a DJ community workshop I was hosting in my last trip to my home town Beirut, Lebanon.
In this clip I was showcasing how we can use one sound to recreate various sounds from it and getting funky on the beat using various 'Scratch' techniques.

I am always in awe of scratch DJs. The hands of a master can prove without a doubt that the turntable is a musical instrument.
