Detroit Rock Band Sounds Like it's from the 1960's (But It's New)

in #music8 years ago

Gritty, Bluesy, Detroit Rock.

The Album "Wilder" was recorded live in two days on 2" tape like your favorite rock bands from the 1960's.  With this wildling in the fur vest taking on lead vocals, Guitarist Bill Brown ripping tube amp fueled riffs, and Jeff Twomley pounding his vintage drum kit this album screams VINTAGE.  But It's not.  It was put out this year.

It makes complete sense that each one of their favorite influences were the like of Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and The Who.

Here's Standing Sun's first music video "Wild Honey", filmed in a blown out warehouse in Detroit.

Hope you enjoy!
