Today in Music (September 23rd)

in #music7 years ago

What interesting new songs or albums were released or were topping the charts on September the 23rd in the history of music? What has happened on this day in the music universe? I apologize in advance that my view is quite narrow since I only know and follow western music.

In 1984 Prince & the Revolution had a hit with “Let's Go Crazy”.

In 1973 Grand Funk Railroad had a hit with “We're An American Band”.

In 1972 Conway Twitty was at No. 1 of the Billboard country chart with his version of "I Can't Stop Loving You".

It is a bit different than original :)

Ps: sorry that I am posting the picks for this day in advance. It is weekend and we are off to the mountains.

Please remember that these artists and songs are my personal choices and are not always what you would consider a great hit. OK, most of the time they are.
