Synesthesia Review: Chizzy - Don't Call After Midnight

This track is such a vibe and so catchy that it's sure to attract new ears.

I was a little surprised by the track from the off. I surmised that the track would be a wild and deep emotional cut from the title, but was thankfully spared from sad nostalgia by the bouncy instrumental courtesy of Ill Major. Chizzy has always had the ability to effortlessly glide over anything placed in front of him and it's no different here.

The lyrics depict a man not starved of sexual prowess. The repeated hook will have you singing along in seconds. I know that I was, I might have even forwarded it to my someone special. The man who gave us Measurements shows that he's no one trick pony either. He's fully capable of rapping and while not on full display here, the beat doesn't ask for a straight forward 16.

The one drawback however would be the final time the hook spins. The track could have used more layers to the vocals; an additional vocalist could also have been used, preferably a female. That's just my personal view and doesn't detract from the tracks overall beauty. The final results are of the highest quality however and that's to be expected from Gated Community.

I'm very much excited for Summer Breezes that's sure to hit the web soon enough and with tracks like DCAM it'll be nothing but delightful listening.
