'hk' - New Original Music - Another Random Idea From Last Night - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

I was playing around with some Vital
presets last night, and wound up with this idea sort of randomly. I was kind of half paying attention, watching TV, and just kept adding things, and, overall, wound up with something cool. There are some things I'm going to change, particularly the synths with the fake sidechain compression LFO effect; because some of the chord changes anticipate the barline by an 1/8th note, I had the synths with these LFOs do the same, which resulted in the swells accenting downbeats vs. the upbeats of the previous measure. In any case, it just feels odd, and I do like the idea generally, so that'll have to change. Track 1 was where I started with some chords. There are two parts, with the Purple playing E, C#min, E (with a bunch of extensions), then A, C#min, and A again (also with various extensions, giving it a more mysterious vibe). The Blue part is A, B, E, F#min, A, B, and E again (again, with various extensions).

Track 2 adds another Vital pad, and plays the two note part
pictured next to the first paragraph above. Track 3 is a bass part, sticking to roots generally, which has one of those LFOs I mentioned before that gets kind of weird with the 1/8th note anticpation. Track 4 is my favorite instrument here, a LABS instrument, the 'Glitched' Piano Pad. This adds the weird noisiness over a few parts. Track 5 adds an ascending line with a plucky/piano-ish Vital sound over the B parts, while Track 6 adds a descending line with a spacey pad. Finally we have Track 7, a random addition. This is a string sample, which just plays Es and Bs. I like how it pedals those notes, though I think at a few points it needs to follow the harmony of the other tracks. I'm going to play around with this some more and hopefully get something cool.
