'REBAX' - New Original Music - Random Creation from Last Night - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

This song came together last night,

and wound up being a cool idea, which I'll probably keep working on. I started with the intro part, which was originally going to be the whole vibe of the song, dark and kind of dissonant, but I got bored with that, and muted it, before writing the rest of the song. I originally intended to delete the intro, but I liked how vastly different it is from the rest of the song, so I just sort of smashed 'em together, hehe. The beginning is in Bminor (though there is a Bmajor subbed in quite a bit), and the 'main' bulk of the song in Dminor.

Track 3 actually provides the chords

that I begin with, but I bounced the midi clips down to audio, as I wanted to capture the swell at the beginning which didn't happen every time with the midi instrument. We basically move from a Dmin, to a Dsus4, and a Dmin7 (second time around, it's a DminAdd9). Every section is made up of a 3 bar (1 chord per bar) progression, except for those which are Pink in Track 4, those are 4 bar sections. The change in rhythm is interesting, and I think adds a little interest and breaks the repitition.

Tracks 1 and 2, Bass Notes.

Tracks 1 and 2 provide the

bass notes, though note really a bassline, rather just a synth texture. Tracks 4 and 5 add more layers, with 5 providing the plucky synth melody. Track 6 is the actual bass, using a super thumpy bass synth, and finally, we have the drums in Track 7.
