It would be great if that library you mentioned is still issuing vinyls. Most libraries that I know have obviously archived them and would only issue them to premium users who atleast have a good history with the said library.
I mean it is obviously understandable that they would have to take precautions with forty years old records still it would nice to find a place for borrowing older vinyls - originals I mean.
I wouldn't be surprised if they sold most of it as they moved to CD and they would get worn out anyway. I still have a stack of vinyl, including Queen and Led Zep.
Probably. Old collections in right condition can be worth a lot.
