Last live festival of this year's summer - Slayer

in #music5 years ago

Hello everyone,

last Saturday 13th July 2019 myself and a good friend of mine we went to attend a festival which included four bands with Slayer being the headliners in their tour called 'Slayer Final World Tour'. The original plan was to attend that festival along with my friend @mariossap, but one week before the festival the organizers announced a different venue than the one originally announced. The original festival place was an open football stadium, but then they changed it to the indoor basketball court, so after some thought @mariossap decided that he would sell his ticket to a common friend of ours. After the new venue was announced, many people along with me strongly complained about that change, but of course by that time things were already on their way, just a few days before that festival.

So myself and my friend agreed to meet at an hour and drive to the basketball court which is not at all far from where I live. At first I thought to go to the festival from the very beginning and see all four bands, but then I changed my mind and I thought to take it easy and just meet with my friend and go see Rotting Christ who were playing before Slayer. We arrived at the basketball court and we entered  inside while Leprous were playing their last song of their set.

The time schedule of the bands' appearances was followed and after some 15 minutes Rotting Christ were on stage. A few videos of their appearance below

After their appearance the grand time was quickly approaching for Slayer to hit the stage and thrash us out of our minds with their music, as their tour title suggests, this tour is their last world tour and thus the last time to catch them live.

I'm not a big fan of Slayer, this was my first time ever to see them live and it went just as I was expecting it to go, merciless beating coming from the stage while they were playing, equally moshing from the people in the arena.

And a last photo I took as we were leaving after Slayer finished their set, it was a good experience and a well-organized festival and everybody in there really had a great time.

After the end of their set, all the necessary introductions were made by Tom Araya, he mentioned everybody in the crew who make the band's live appearances possible and after that he just stood at the end on the right of the stage and he was just looking at the crowd for some time and then he told us that he's gonna miss us and then goodbye. It was a really nice moment.

With this festival, this year's summer is closing and some other good live gigs are coming our way from September.

I wish everyone a good and playful summer!
