Women Without Men (Shirin Neshat - Women Without Men Video & SoundScape)

Hey guys!
So I was looking around on my computer.
I found this soundscape that I made in my years at Vraa Højskole.
But before we talk about the short film and the soundscape, let me tell You just a bit about what Højskole is.
A Højskole (basically translated into "Highschool" but avoided for confusing reasons) is a kind of artschool, even though we also work with some other subjects such as political deabtes, fashion design and some extreme cases of educational formation in the view of humanistic matters.
It is kind of attending university, except there will be no grates for your work, nor will there be any exams when you are done.
Højskole is a very dank concept that actually spreads all over Denmark and some other places in Europe.

Back to what this is all about.
So I was attending class a few months ago, when the entire class had to make a soundscape at some kind of art that we was to find individually in a big-ass museum .
I found this short film made by Shirin Neshat (LINK TO THE FILM AT BOTTOM).
The track is not entirely a soundscape, the track still has a theme and is produced as a piece of music not the least.
The short film consists a lot of male characters with no faces..
I know, cool aye ?
But the context is even deeper.
The film tells the story of a poor girl, living in a poor village in a poor family in Iran, just passed the revolution.
The girl works as a prostitute and is therefor by her young age; Psychological damaged.
As a result of all of this, she doesn't view any males with a face.
No.
She sees them as just bodies.
Just as they see her.

This picture would be what I based the just of the track with :

On the picture you can tell that the young girl washes her self clean. She washes her body excessively until her skin comes off, a reaction to all the shame and guilt she experiences . The picture is very brutal, hence the reason why I used it.

The version of the film I was watching at the museum was alot shorter than the one on YouTube.
There is somewhat of a bigger plot going on.
I really DO recommend watching this little film.
It has alot of poetic, philosophical and psychological value.
