Anna von Hausswolff - Dead Magic
A very somber sounding album that has plenty of depth on each song. This could be the soundtrack to a horror film, yet beautiful in many ways that will bring you a sense of peace. This is a good album for someone sick of the same cookie cutter rock albums that keep getting chugged out each month. It's not for everyone, but when you're in the right mood, 'Dead Magic' is a gratifying experience.

Kanye West - ye
Not sure why everyone is disappointed with this. Perhaps the length? Well, whatever the reason, I think they're wrong. 'The Life of Pablo' was a bit of a mess in my opinion and 'ye' is a great comeback that proves Kanye is still one of the best artists in the game. He's also back to producing 100% of the album as well as taking on multiple projects at the same time. At this moment, Kanye has released 4 albums he's co-made or fully produced. I would say 'ye' is my second favorite album behind Pusha-T's 'Daytona'. If you haven't listened to 'ye' yet, give it a shot and be open minded. You might enjoy it as much as me, or you might follow the crowd and think it's one of his weakest albums to date. Either way, it's a 20 min album...definitely worth a listen.

Jonathan Bree - Sleepwalking
This is one of my favorite releases this year. Imagine if David Byrne from Talking Heads decided to run Arcade Fire for an album. That's as close as I can get to a description on this album. It's a pop album, but then it's not. It has orchestral bits and electronic bits and then kibbles n bits. It has everything. I can't wait to hear more from Jonathan Bree in the near future.
