I wanted to make some Dark Pop/Hyperpop music.

I was thinking about this correlation between Toxic Masculinity and Goon Scrolling/Doom Scrolling. I also wanted to make my own kind of Pop in imagining that the Pop was hard edged and brutal. Sometimes those Divas really dig into the men. So I thought perfect!! We will get these tough Pop singers to take on the Toxic Men who degrade themselves and women they goon to online. It can even apply to A.I. fake women who don't exist that are meant to be sexy and listen to whatever the guy says LOL because no one wants to talk to them or be with them in real life.

I did a few variations and versions of the song, some are the same but different music structure, others are similar but different. The next song I want to show you is called Goon Scroller Sickness. I like this song a lot. These songs do deal with internet addiction and toxic masculinity. I think the lyrics are slick and really dig in. The singer is great. I made the songs a bit Industrial too which ads to the brutal factor

I made the video using Vidmuse A.I. - https://vidmuse.ai/ The video turned out pretty great! I did it in higher quality so I actually ran out of credits at Vidmuse. Vidmuse is not perfect. I had to repeat some scenes at the end and for the chorus but the music video still had a good effect. I tried to advertise it but it was too controversial. I think the title and imagery were problematic. I still really like the video!! Some backrooms themes, some glitch effects. Pretty cool!!

There Are A Couple Extra Songs Too!

They are not so much Darkpop/Hyperpop yet still fit into the vibe. The next song talks about being treated as a consumer object/project in a culture of overconsumption and hyper individualism. The sentiment rebels against this sort of objectification. The other song that's different also deals with this subject as well. Fits in with the Doom/Goonscrolling theme.

The song is called Plastic In The Blood. It's more fast pace and kinda grungy feeling in an electro sort of way

The Last Song I Will Show You Is Called Object-Oriented Suffering

The song has a more Industrial Music feel to it. Kinda slams. The lyrics are good. Talks about not being a product or content for online consumption. Like how people get targeted by online propaganda to sell you hype and every time you like or share it makes them more money. Whether it be a news source, a product placement or social media platform the more you engage the more you give virality and profit to bad actors and corruption. Falling prey to propaganda can also harm yourself or your community and give you psychosis and believe things that aren't real if you are not careful. Pretty good song! I was glad to fit a few different songs onto Goon Scrolling E.P.
