World's Fastest Guitarist [part.2]
Born in the name of Paul Brandon Gilbert on November 6, 1966 in Illinois, Paul's Name Soared to the ranks of guitar deities by joining Paul in Mr.Big.
Although he started playing guitar at the age of 6 years, but Paul had despaired because the game is not much developed. When he was 9, he returned to playing guitar and eventually formed his first band when he was 14 years old.
The name Paul Gilbert came to be known when he joined Racer X whom he later left to join Mr. Big. But here too Paul did not last long. In 1997, Gilbert decided to quit Mr. Big.
Paul's style of play was heavily influenced by such great musicians as Jimmy Page, Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen, Akira Takasaki, Kiss, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads and The Ramones. Paul is also among the top 10 fastest guitarists of all time versions of Guitar One magazine.
Paul is also diligent in issuing guitar tutorials and filling in guitar lessons in magazines. He is also noted as a lecturer and dean of the Guitar Institute of Technology. Beyond Racer X and Mr. Big, Paul has released 14 studio albums since the beginning of his career in 1985.
