के मंत्रों का समय कोई होवेसंसार भर के साहित्य में वेद अद्वितीय
स्थान रखते हैं और किसी अन्य साहित्य या ग्रन्थ पर निर्भर नहीं
तथा वेद स्वतःप्रमाण हैं ।’’ सारांश यह है कि, दयानन्द ने थोड़े
ही समय में संसार में वेदों का डंका बजा दिया और पांच सहस्त्र
वर्ष से सोयी हुई जाति को जगा दिया । मतमतान्तरों में खलबली
फैल गई । वेद रूपी सूर्य के सामने टिमटिमाते छोटेछोटे दीपक
बुझने लगे | कहीं बाइबल में संशोधन होने लगा । कहीं कुरान
की शिक्षा के विरूद्ध आवाज सुनाई देने लगी । कहीं कमाल पाशा ।
खलीफा को निकाल रहे हैं, तो कहीं अमानुल्लाह अमन (शान्ति)
स्थापन करने के लिए देवबन्दी मुल्लाओं का देश निकाला कर
रहे हैं। कहां इसऊद अपने ढंग पर अरब में प्रचलित इस्लाम
के विरूद्ध जिहाद कर रहे हैं । मास्को (रूसमें कुरान का छपना,
बिकना तथा फिज़ करना (रटना) कानूनन बन्द किया जा रहा
है। मसजिदों की जायदादें जब्त की जा रही हैं । कहीं अरबी का
खात्मा हो रहा है, कहीं पर्दा उड़ाया जा रहा है । कहीं मिस मिलकर
जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य के हाथों महारानी शर्मिष्ठाबाई बन रही हैं ।
